Kushagra N Bajaj is the Promoter and Non-Executive Chairman of the $2.5-billion diversified Bajaj Group with major interests in Sugar, Ethanol, Power and FMCG businesses. He has a B.Sc. in Economics, Political Philosophy, and Finance from Carnegie Mellon and M.Sc. in Marketing from the Northwestern University (Chicago). Kushagra’s academic qualifications are matched only by his expansive business pursuits, his altruistic attitude that he brings to business and his eagle-eyed vision.

Carrying forward the group’s 100-year-old legacy built on the ideals of trust, transparency, leadership and service to the nation, Kushagra is also counted among India’s leading philanthropists. Along with education, innovation and rural India have been subjects close to his heart. Little surprise then that he is a guiding force behind Bajaj Foundation, the group’s philanthropic arm. In 2011, Kushagra made a $2.5-million gift to endow a professorship at Tepper School of Business in Carnegie Mellon University. Mr. Bajaj has been the recipient of several awards including the prestigious ‘Young Achiever’ award at the 10th Rajiv Gandhi Awards in 2007. An avid traveler and voracious reader, he is also a keen martial arts enthusiast and has a Black Belt in Taekwondo.
